Back at writing again … this is my first post
Not long ago I received an email invite to join this website. I have refrained from writing on any sites for a few months now. I visit my old sites to keep in touch with some long time connections and friends but otherwise I haven’t really spent much time on any specific site.
I thought to give this site a try especially if I can reconnect with some old friends on here.
I have read the rules for this site. I’m hoping I can write 600 word articles. I typically write about crafts that I make or my cooking experiences. Those I’d have no problem in achieving 600 words but this introductory post I feel like I’m just going to be rambling on and on to make the minimum. So I’m sorry if I end up boring everyone. I didn’t want to just start writing without introducing myself.
I’m a stay at home mom of an almost 4 year old girl who likes to pretend she is a princess. We have a lot of fun together. She goes to preschool 3 days a week in the mornings so during that time I like to get some writing done online.
I enjoy writing about my recipes. It’s been a while since I’ve wrote online so I’ve got quite a few to share with others on here. I’m tempted to put in one of my recipes in this post itself as this is extremely difficult to reach the minimum word requirement. I think it should be longer then a lot of other sites out there but I think 300 or 400 words would be more logical. I guess it just depends on what you are writing about.
So more about me. I used to write on Bubblews for a very long time. I still have account on there but don’t really write on it much. I just like to catch up with others from time to time. In my spare time I have been doing surveys online which brings in some nice extra cash or free magazines. I also spend time on Swagbucks and Amazon Mechanical Turk.
I like to sell things on Ebay. I sell used things from around the house that I no longer want, my daughter’s old clothes that no longer fit and crafts that I make at home. I wish I had more time to work on crafts and learn how to sew but my day to day activities with my daughter take up so much time.
I enjoy being a stay at home mom. It wasn’t my intention to stay at home after my daughter was born but I was laid off from my job at Kraft when I was pregnant. As much as it was disappointing to lose my job I’ve been thankful to stay home with my daughter. I had a good pension and 401K so having that come to a halt is a bit of a bummer. Once she is in school full time I will go back to work. I have no idea what I will want to go back and do though. Working in a corporate job like I was previously doing sounds horrible at this point. I don’t think I’d have the patience for the corporate politics again.
In the meantime I will enjoy my time with my daughter and try to bring in spending cash here and there to help out.
I love to travel and wish we could do it more often. We recently took a trip to Costa Rica this past winter which was great. We have two dogs and a cat that are a part of our family.
Well now that I have finally rambled on enough about myself I’m going to go read some of your articles.
